Brand History

The Dekalin brand was established over 100 years ago and quickly became a prominent brand in the specialist adhesion, coatings and sealants sector. The original company was founded in 1907 and began trading in Hanau, Germany. During the early years of trading the company produced several natural adhesives. However after 1945 Dekalin started to produce more synthetic adhesives and coatings to meet the growing demand from industrial clients mainly in the automotive industry sector.

With the increased exposure of the Dekalin brand the company diversified their product range to appeal to a wider range of customers and commercial sectors. The company now produces anti-corrosion, stone chip and sound deadening, coatings and an extensive range of sealants and specialist adhesives, to the transport sector including: commercial vehicle, caravan, motorhome, automotive, railway & coach building manufacturers globally. The product range has also been developed to be suitable for the construction industry and general usage.

In 1995 Dekalin moved to a more practical factory production facility in Bergeijk, Holland and started to focus on producing Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) approved solutions with many products now being used in production processes with vehicle  manufacturers globally.

Future development

Dekalin currently work in close co-operation with many major manufacturers to develop and produce adhesives, coatings and sealant products that meet their specific requirements in the caravan and bus, railway, automotive and commercial vehicle manufacturing sectors. The company is also constantly exploring new market sectors with some products being suitable for repairing roofs on buildings. Being a recognised brand delivering high quality products the company has built up a global prescence with around 90% of all manufacturered products being exported. All products are developed and refined in their internal R&D department in accordance with their integrated quality system ISO 9001 and environmental awareness ISO 14001 accreditation. The company continually invests in long term product development to deliver products that are of the highest quality whilst remaining competively priced.
